# iPhone: Always forward to Verbu

> Send every call from your iPhone on to Verbu, so Verbu always answers instead of your phone.

This guide shows you how to forward every call from your business number on iPhone to your Verbu number. When it's switched on, your iPhone doesn't ring — Verbu answers instead.

## How it works

* **Who takes the call?** Verbu answers.
* **When?** Always — every time someone rings your number.
* **What does the customer experience?** The customer rings as normal and is met by Verbu.

<Warning>
  **Do your customers hear a menu ("press 1 for …") or an automated welcome?** Then you have a switchboard/IVR. In that case it's often **not enough** to forward on the mobile, because the call has to go through the switchboard first. You might even bypass your own menu. If you're unsure, see [Choose the right setup](/en/pbx/choose-setup).
</Warning>

## Before you start

You need:

* Your **business number on an iPhone** (SIM or eSIM)
* **Your Verbu number** – find it in the dashboard under **Phone numbers**

If your customers hear a menu or welcome, you probably have a switchboard. Read the warning above before you go on.

## Switch forwarding on in iPhone

The recommended route is through your iPhone settings.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Find the **Settings** app on your iPhone.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go to Phone">
    Tap **Apps**, then tap **Phone**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Call Forwarding">
    Tap **Call Forwarding**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Switch it on">
    Turn **Call Forwarding** on, so the toggle turns green.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your Verbu number">
    Enter your Verbu number. Now every incoming call goes to Verbu.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Can't see **Call Forwarding**? That usually means the feature isn't available through your provider. Try the star-code below first, or contact your provider.
</Note>

## Quick method with a star-code

Want to do it quickly — or is the menu missing on your iPhone? You can use a star-code. Open **Phone → Keypad**, type the code, and tap the green call button.

* **Switch on (all calls):** `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.
* **Switch off again:** `#21#`
* **Reset all forwarding** (if something plays up, or voicemail takes over): `##002#`
* **Check status:** `*#21#`

## Help for your provider

Pick your provider and follow the section directly.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Telenor (private)">
    Telenor states that "forwarding all calls to another number" can be an add-on feature with a monthly price and a price per forwarded call.

    1. Try the iPhone method first (Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding).
    2. If it doesn't hold (switches off again) or fails, try the star-code `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#` and tap call. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.

    If it still doesn't work, Telenor usually needs to activate "unconditional forwarding" on your subscription. Write or say this to Telenor customer service:

    > Hi – I need to have forwarding of all calls to another number (unconditional forwarding) activated on my subscription, so all calls can be forwarded to my Verbu number.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Telenor Erhverv (SMS to 1221)">
    Telenor Erhverv describes "forwarding to another number (unconditional forwarding)" as something you order and then control by SMS to 1221.

    1. Order the feature from Telenor Erhverv through customer service.
    2. Once the feature is active, you send an SMS to **1221**.

    **Switch always-forward on** (important: one space after VID):

    * Recipient: `1221`
    * Message: `VID *21*+45XXXXXXXX#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.

    **Stop always-forward:**

    * Recipient: `1221`
    * Message: `VID ##21#`

    Once you've sent the SMS, you should get a confirmation back.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="YouSee">
    You can turn on forwarding in Mit YouSee (My YouSee), where you choose when, and whether it goes to voicemail or another number.

    1. Open **Mit YouSee** (app or browser) and log in.
    2. Tap the arrow next to your mobile number.
    3. Tap **Indstillinger** (Settings).
    4. Turn **Viderestilling** (Forwarding) on.
    5. Choose **Alle opkald / Altid viderestil** (All calls / Always forward).
    6. Choose **til et andet nummer** (to another number), not voicemail.
    7. Enter your Verbu number.
    8. Tap **OK/Gem** (OK/Save).

    Prefer to use a star-code? Switch on with `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`, switch off with `#21#`, and reset everything with `##002#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="3 (Hi3G)">
    You can forward calls to voicemail or any number you like, and 3 has both private and business support.

    1. Use the iPhone method (Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding).
    2. To use a star-code: switch on with `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`, switch off with `#21#`, and reset everything with `##002#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.

    If you want 3 to confirm it, say:

    > I'd like confirmation that unconditional forwarding (all calls) is active on my number – and that it forwards to my Verbu number.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Telia (now Norlys)">
    The Telia brand in Denmark was renamed Norlys in 2025, but many customers still say "Telia".

    For a mobile number without a switchboard:

    1. Use the iPhone method (Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding).
    2. Or use a star-code: switch on with `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`, switch off with `#21#`, and reset everything with `##002#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.

    If your company uses Touchpoint/a switchboard, forwarding can also sit in the app under **Indstillinger → Viderestilling → aktiver → indtast nummer → Gem** (Settings → Forwarding → activate → enter number → Save). This is especially relevant if calls go through a switchboard first.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Another provider / not sure">
    This route works in most cases:

    1. Try the iPhone method.
    2. If it doesn't work, use `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.
    3. If you get an error, contact the provider and ask them to activate:

    > Unconditional forwarding / forwarding of all calls to another number.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Test before you go live

1. Check status: type `*#21#` and tap call – see whether forwarding is active.
2. Ring your number from another phone, for example a colleague's mobile – you should be met by Verbu.
3. Switch off and on again: switch off with `#21#`, switch on with `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`, and ring again to confirm the difference. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.

## If something plays up

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Calls still go to voicemail">
    There's probably still an active forwarding to voicemail. Reset everything with `##002#`, then switch always-forward back on – either in the iPhone settings or with `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#`.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I have two SIM cards">
    If you have two SIMs (private and work), make sure you set the forwarding on the SIM that holds your business number.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I can't see 'Call Forwarding' on iPhone">
    If the option isn't there, your provider has usually made it unavailable. Use the star-code `*21*+45XXXXXXXX#` as a first attempt instead, or contact the provider. Replace `+45XXXXXXXX` with your Verbu number.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## When should you contact Verbu support?

It's completely normal to get help – especially if your provider needs to activate something, or if you have a switchboard. Write to us if:

* forwarding is active (you can see it on iPhone or with `*#21#`), but calls still reach your phone;
* calls go to voicemail, even after `##002#` and a fresh setup;
* you're unsure whether you have a switchboard, and want to make sure customers meet the right welcome.
